PopKernl is a product of CABLN Group LLC ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect purchase receipt data to verify subscription status. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy. Your payment information is handled exclusively by Apple and is never shared with RevenueCat or CABLN Group LLC.

2. Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Email address and password
- Display name and username
- Movie and TV show ratings and scores
- Viewing mode and rewatch selections
- Streaming service preferences
- Friend connections and Squad memberships
- Reactions (likes and dislikes) on friend activity
- Comments on friend ratings
Information collected automatically:
- App usage and interactions
- Device type and operating system
Information we do NOT collect:
- Payment information (handled entirely by Apple)
- Precise location data
- Contacts or address book
- Social media profiles
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and improve the PopKernl experience
- Generate personalized Colonel Kernel AI predictions based on your rating history
- Calculate Squad scores from your friends' ratings
- Recommend content through Watch Tonight and Discover
- Respond to support requests
4. AI Features and Your Data
PopKernl uses AI to power Colonel Kernel reviews and predictions. Your rating history is sent to an AI API solely to generate your predictions. This data is not used for AI training. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting support@trykernl.com.
5. Third-Party Services
- Supabase - stores your account data and ratings (supabase.com/privacy)
- TMDB - provides movie and TV show information (themoviedb.org/privacy-policy)
- Anthropic - powers Colonel Kernel AI features (anthropic.com/privacy)
- Apple - handles app distribution and payments (apple.com/privacy)
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with advertisers. Your ratings are only visible to friends you have mutually connected with in the app. Your profile is searchable by username only.
7. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be deleted within 30 days. Anonymized community data such as average scores may be retained indefinitely.

9. Children's Privacy
PopKernl is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact support@trykernl.com if you believe a child has provided personal information.
10. Security
We use industry-standard security including encrypted data transmission, secure authentication, and row-level database security. No method of transmission is 100% secure.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be communicated through the app.
